After months of work the winners of Durham’s Ignite competition have been announced, only for both startup businesses to predict more work ahead.
At the Durham Art of Transition Creative Awards in Whitby held on Nov. 27 startup companies National ProStaff and Tiko3D were announced as the winners of the Ignite innovative competition, each taking home $25,000 prizes. Organized by local non-profit Spark Centre and the Region of Durham, the Ignite competition began in mid-September and featured entrepreneurs in the tech and innovative sectors pitching their ideas to expert panels.
Part of the multi-event competition involved the entrepreneurs getting tips and guidance on how to pitch their business ideas to investors from Spark Centre advisors.
